VfB Stuttgart probably largely agree with Mergim Berisha – clubs are still negotiating

After Mainz 05, another Bundesliga side, VfB Stuttgart, apparently moved on to woo Fenerbahce’s Mergim Berisha. As the Turkish network ‘Haber Global’ reports, the attacker is currently also negotiating with the Swabians. According to the report, the 24-year-old was in Stuttgart last week for talks with VfB representatives. VfB is said to be targeting a loan with an option to buy, while Fenerbahce wants to sell Berisha directly. A few days before his visit to Stuttgart, Berisha is said to have traveled to Mainz for negotiations, where he would be at the top of the list. More recently, ‘Bild’ picked up on rumors from Turkey that the Istanbul team are asking for 5 million euros for the striker. For the same fee, Berisha moved from Salzburg to Fenerbahce just before last season, where he signed a contract until 2025. Since then, the former U21 international has made 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.

Most recently, his market value rose from €7.5m to currently €6m for the third time in a row since he arrived in Turkey.
